Hello! Thanks for stopping by. I’m Brittany Gilleland and I’m the founder and creator of The Diabetic Journey. I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2002 at the age of 12. I’ve been living with diabetes for 17 years now. I’m a military spouse and a mother of three beautiful children. I started this blog to really dig deep into sharing the life of a type 1 diabetic, raise awareness, and change the way the world view diabetes. But this journey isn’t just mine alone, it’s a journey millions of others are on as well. So this platform is meant for others to have their voices heard too!
