Symptoms of Type 1 Diabetes usually develop quickly. Symptoms can easily be mistaken for illnesses such as the flu, urinary tract infection, stomach bug, etc. Medical attention is needed right away if these symptoms are present.

Symptoms of Type 1 Diabetes Include:

Extreme Thirst

Frequent Urination

Fruity Odor On Breath

Drowsy or Lethargic

Sudden Weight Loss

Vision Changes

Nausea/Vomiting

If you notice any symptoms or if you’re concerned, contact your physician right away and ask for a simple finger stick or a blood test to rule out diabetes.
